Alexander Dugin’s Fourth Political Theory as an Alternative to the Anti-Western Policy of Liberal-Democrats
Journal Title: Chorzowskie Studia Polityczne - Year 2016, Vol 11, Issue
Abstract
The article focuses on the anti-Western geopolitical concept of Alexander Dugin: The Fourth Political Theory. The main thesis is that Dugin’s theories are anti-Western concepts and are designed to unite conservative circles in the West. The source of the anti-Western character is the opposition of civilizations of the East and West. Dugin stresses that Russia is sacred. One common source of all Dugin’s concepts is a clash of civilization. According to him, Russia is a bearer of traditional values that dominate in Eurasia, and Western civilization is dominated by individualism and materialism. The antidote to progressive Westernization is the Fourth Political Theory. Therefore, The Fourth Political Theory is considered an ideological counter-proposal in relation to Western-style globalization.
