An Analysis of Adverb Occurrence in the Bible Books of Ruth and Judges
Journal Title: Buletin Științific, seria A, Fascicula Filologie - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
There is no denying that the Bible has tremendous influence on people’s lives. The present paper makes an attempt at analyzing, not its authority and importance, but rather at taking into consideration the frequency of adverbs exhibited by the books of the Bible as well as the most common features they display. Being primarily narrative texts, they are expected to some extent to arrange actions and events, reinforce utterances while maintaining the cohesion of the text.
