Abstract

Adult Education is a priority of the contemporary society, in the context of a world in permanent change. The teacher development is being re-evaluated and re-dimensioned towards developing psycho-pedagogical and speciality competences, as the school remains the main source of education and learning. The European institutions, that initiate and financiary sustain teachers development programms, are promoting the personal and professional development of teachers, improvement of the education system’s quality, but also a better relation of schools with the socio-economic environment. The Pedagogy specialists sustain international politics that are promoting adult education and teachers’ development, offering methodologycal suggestions for optimizing educating and selfeducating activities.
