AN ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF HOLES PATTERNS ON COUPLED INSTABILITY OF PERFORATED THIN-WALLED MEMBERS
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2014, Vol 59, Issue 1
Abstract
The buckling behaviour of vertical steel pallet rack columns is greatly influenced by the distribution of perforations punched continuously along their length. To study the influence of the holes patterns on the elastic coupled instabilities of thinwalled members, this paper uses an original modal identification method (based on the Generalised Beam Theory) which is able to provide the pure buckling modes participation (of global, distortional, local nature) in a general eigenvalue buckling mode given by the shell Finite Element Analysis.

DYNAMICS OF THE 3-PRP PLANAR PARALLEL ROBOT
Recursive modelling for the kinematics and dynamics of the 3-PRP planar parallel robot is established in this paper. Three identical planar legs connecting to the moving platform are located in a vertical plane. Knowing...
AN ANALYTICAL MODEL FOR THE STRUCTURE OF THE DETONATION WAVES. APPLICATION FOR HYPERSONIC PROPULSION
The gas flow field within an 1D normal detonation wave at variable specific heats and viscosity with temperature is considered. Such detonation waves appear in the so called air-breathing scramjet engines used at hyperso...

CALCULUS OF THE TORSOR OF INERTIA FORCES FOR A RIGID SOLID BODY IN GENERAL MOTION
The calculus of the torsor of the inertia forces for a rigid solid body in general motion is a very important matter for its next dynamic study. In other words if we aim to perform the dynamic survey of a rigid solid bod...
