An Applicable Method for the Estimation of Tetrabenazine by Simple RP-HPLC in Tablet Dosage Form
Journal Title: Chemical Methodologies - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The aim of this work was to develop and validate the assay test for Tetrabenazine in the pharmaceutical dosage forms by HPLC. The assay method by HPLC was found to be linear in the concentration range of 20 to 100 µg/mL. The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile and buffer pH: 6.8 potassium dihydrogen phosphate (60:40 v/v) the flow rate of 1 mL/min using UV detection at 215 nm. The results of the analysis were validated by recovery studies. The percentage recovery method was found to be 99.33-100.87%. The LOD and LOQ were found to 0.04 μg/mL and 0.15 μg/mL. All the parameters of validation were in the acceptable range. This developed method was successfully applied to estimate the amount of Tetrabenazine in the tablets.

Molecular Structure, NMR, FMO, MEP and NBO Analysis of ethyl-(Z)-3-phenyl-2-(5-phenyl-2H-1,2,3,4-tetraazol-2-yl)-2-propenoate Based on HF and DFT Calculations
n the present work, for the first time the quantum calculations of Ethyl-(Z)-3-phenyl-2-(5-phenyl-2H-1,2,3,4-tetraazol-2-yl)-2-propenoate are evaluated using the HF and B3LYP methods with 6-311++G** basis set. The geomet...
Cyclic Voltammetry for the Interaction between Bismuth Nitrate and Methyl Red in Potassium Nitrate Solutions
Cyclic Voltammetry of bismuth nitrate (BN) using different concentrations was practically measured by the use of DY2000 potenstiostat. We used 0.1 M KNO3 as a transporting medium for the diffusion of the ions used as the...
Study of Molecular Interactions in Binary Mixtures of Ethylmethylketone and 2-alkanol by Excess Number of i and j Molecules Around a Central Molecule j (Δnij)
In order to study the nature, type, and magnitude of interactions in the binary mixtures of methyl-ethyl-ketone and a series of 2-alkanol from 2-propanol up to 2-heptanol, excess (or deficit) numbers of i and j molecules...
Prediction of the structural and spectral properties and reactivity of the silicon analogs of cyclobutadiene C4-nSinH4 (n=0-4) by density functional theory computations
In recent years, it has been noted that the silicon analogs of compounds have more pharmaceutical applications because of their more lipophilicity properties. The present research paper studies the structural and spectra...
Validated Stability Indicating RP-HPLC DAD Method for Simultaneous Determination of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride and Pregabalin in Presence of Stress degradation products in tablet dosage form
Background: High Performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an integral analytical tool in assessing drug product stability. HPLC methods should be able to separate, detect, and quantify the various drug-related degrada...
