An Experimental Architecture For Basic IPTV Concepts Implementation and Testing
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2008, Vol 49, Issue 4
Abstract
The paper describes basic concepts and a practical implementation of a simple architecture for IPTV content creation and distribution. The architecture is conceived to make possible extensive tests. Audio-video content is acquired using different conventional technologies: DVB-S, CATV Headend, video streaming servers. This experimental network is intended to be used for throughput, QoS and audio-video quality measurements. Some of the most relevant features and tests (still in progress) are described in the final part of the paper.

Workflow Based Service Composition Using Genetic Algorithms
One common direction in service oriented computing is to use predefined workflows to compose new services that combine the functionality of existing services. But the problem with this approach is that services can’t be...
Broadband Power Amplifier Nonlinearity Cancellation in OFDM Systems
One drawback of OFDM systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio, which imposes strong requirements on the linearity of power amplifiers (PAs). Such linearity requirements translate into high back-off that results in...
Performance Analysis of MIMO Technology in Mobile Wireless Systems
The main goals in developing new wireless communication systems are increasing the transmission capacity and improving the spectrum efficiency. Space-time codes and spatial multiplexing codes exploit the richly scattered...
Relevant Context Discovery for Pervasive Services Involving User Control
Dynamic context adaptation is a central concept in Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing. In this paper we have analyzed the problem of context relevance and we have chosen an approach where the user is also involved also i...
Illustration Of Automatic Digital Synthesis For Camellia-128 Cipher Algorithm
Advances in the integrated circuit (IC) industry have enabled the integration of millions of transistors on a single chip. In these circumstances the task of the circuit designer is ever more demanding. Recent trends in...
