Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of changes in self-identification and self- perception of the wives of deceased law-enforcers in the event of loss. The theoretical analysis of the research of the I-concept of foreign and domestic experts, which reveals its structure, features of formation and development, is presented in detail. The results of the comparative experimental psychological examination of the wives of deceased law-enforcers are presented, with the aim of outlining the tendency towards changes in the I-concept in the process of experiencing grief.
