ANALYSIS OF BENT TIMBER BEAM REINFORCEMENT WITH THE APPLICATION OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper discusses timber frame reinforcement with the application of fiber composites and analyzes the results of the conducted studies. The notion of composite materials and their impact on the frame’s load bearing capacity and rigidity have been defined. The following issues have been discussed: the techniques of reinforcing timber beams, measuring the size of deflection for different load levels, destructive load, timber and tape deformation.
