Analysis of Effect of Cavittion In Hydraulic Turbines
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCED RESEARCH IN APPLIED MECHANICS & COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS - Year 2017, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
Cavitation is basically a process which occurs when the liquid pressure falls below the atmospheric vapor pressure. Due to this process, the performance of the material is effected, the efficiency of the machine also decreases and also there is damage to the material. In this paper, I analysed the effect cavitation in the hydraulic turbine, its effect, causes and how to minimize this effect it is believed that cavitation cannot be avoided but it can be minimized to some extent. There is also a literature review in which the work of the different researcher has been mentioned.

Effect of Cross Diffusion on the Onset of Double Diffusive Marangoni Convection in a Fluid Layer
In the present study, double-diffusive convection in a horizontal layer of a fluid in the presence of temperature gradients (Soret effects1∆) and concentration gradients (Dufour effects2∆) are considered. The onset of co...
Buongiorno Model for Hydromagnetic Convective Flow of Nanofluid over an Inclined Stretching Surface with Variable Stream Conditions
This work is focused on the numerical investigation of steady mixed convective magneto nanofluid flow due to an inclined stretching surface. The transport model employed includes the effects of Brownian and thermophoresi...
Study of Drafting, Kissing and Tumbling Process of two Particles with different Densities using Immersed Boundary Method in a Confined Medium
This paper numerically demonstrates the drafting, kissing and tumbling (DKT) phenomenon between two interacting circular, impermeable particles with same diameter (D) but with different densities in a confined medium usi...
A Study of Abrasive Jet Machining
Abrasive jet machining falls under a category of mechanical process or it is an unconventional and nontraditional manufacturing process. In this machining fine abrasive grades or particles in a jet of inert gas hit the w...
Investigation & Development of Micro Electrochemical Machining for Metal Removal with Micron Tolerances
The machining of materials on micrometer and sub-micrometer scale is viewed as the innovation without bounds. The present strategies for small scale producing generally are silicon based. These assembling strategies are...
