Effect of Cross Diffusion on the Onset of Double Diffusive Marangoni Convection in a Fluid Layer
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCED RESEARCH IN APPLIED MECHANICS & COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 3
Abstract
In the present study, double-diffusive convection in a horizontal layer of a fluid in the presence of temperature gradients (Soret effects1∆) and concentration gradients (Dufour effects2∆) are considered. The onset of convection is studied using linear stability analysis for temperature and concentration boundary conditions. The effects of critical Marangoni numbers, Dufourcoefficient1∆, Soret coefficient2∆and diffusivity ratioτon stationary, oscillatory convection are shown graphically and the effects of various parameters have been discussedin detail.

The Effect of Thermal Interface Material on Led Heat Sinks
LED’S have been used in many products due to its longevity, more power saving and higher lumens per watt. About 80% of the electrical power is wasted as heat or reductant heat which in turn increases the junction tempera...
Study of Drafting, Kissing and Tumbling Process of two Particles with different Densities using Immersed Boundary Method in a Confined Medium
This paper numerically demonstrates the drafting, kissing and tumbling (DKT) phenomenon between two interacting circular, impermeable particles with same diameter (D) but with different densities in a confined medium usi...
A Study of Abrasive Jet Machining
Abrasive jet machining falls under a category of mechanical process or it is an unconventional and nontraditional manufacturing process. In this machining fine abrasive grades or particles in a jet of inert gas hit the w...
Analysis of Design And Otimization of Crankshaf
This paper demonstrates the performation of an automobile basically depend on its size optimization, material selection for crankshaft and manufacturing process. The design of crankshaft basically depends on the dynamic...
Analysis of Effect of Cavittion In Hydraulic Turbines
Cavitation is basically a process which occurs when the liquid pressure falls below the atmospheric vapor pressure. Due to this process, the performance of the material is effected, the efficiency of the machine also dec...
