Effect of Cross Diffusion on the Onset of Double Diffusive Marangoni Convection in a Fluid Layer
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCED RESEARCH IN APPLIED MECHANICS & COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 3
Abstract
In the present study, double-diffusive convection in a horizontal layer of a fluid in the presence of temperature gradients (Soret effects1∆) and concentration gradients (Dufour effects2∆) are considered. The onset of convection is studied using linear stability analysis for temperature and concentration boundary conditions. The effects of critical Marangoni numbers, Dufourcoefficient1∆, Soret coefficient2∆and diffusivity ratioτon stationary, oscillatory convection are shown graphically and the effects of various parameters have been discussedin detail.

The Effect of Thermal Interface Material on Led Heat Sinks
LED’S have been used in many products due to its longevity, more power saving and higher lumens per watt. About 80% of the electrical power is wasted as heat or reductant heat which in turn increases the junction tempera...
Six Sigma Methodology for Analysing & Removing Defects in Plastic Moulding by Injection Moulding Machine
This thesis is all about Six Sigma methodology. Six Sigma is step by step improving technique for a business growth or to create a new business idea. Six Sigma has two methodology but in this thesis DMAIC methodology was...
Buongiorno Model for Hydromagnetic Convective Flow of Nanofluid over an Inclined Stretching Surface with Variable Stream Conditions
This work is focused on the numerical investigation of steady mixed convective magneto nanofluid flow due to an inclined stretching surface. The transport model employed includes the effects of Brownian and thermophoresi...
CFD Simulation of Steady Blood Flow through Left Subclavian Stenosed Artery, Turbulence Modeling and Critical Narrowing
In this work, we first propose a precise geometry for any arterial stenosis. Then we use the CFX-ICEM-ANSYS 15.0 code to perform a computational simulation of blood flow in the aortic arch, both in the healthy case and i...
