ANALYSIS OF FATAL TRAUMATISM IN OPENCAST COAL MINING OPERATIONS
Journal Title: Вестник научного центра по безопасности работ в угольной промышленности - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
Workers fatal traumatism analysis in open-cast coal mining from 2004 to 2016 is fulfilled. Fatal accidents are grouped together, and the causes of fatal injuries are analyzed in groups. It has been established that in recent years there has been a decrease in fatal injuries in the opencast mining operations. The main reason for improving work safety is the more strict control over the industrial safety situation at hazardous industrial facilities by the state. The reduction in the number of fatal injuries is also due to the use of automated production management systems. The measures taken make it possible to increase the labor discipline of personnel at opencast coal mines. The greatest number of deaths in opencast mining is due to electric shocks (24%) and during transport operations (23%). The main reasons for such incidents are unsatisfactory organization of work, shortcomings in training, violation of safety rules, low level of labor discipline.

STUDY OF GAS-KINETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF KUZBASS COAL-BASED PLASTS
The results of developing methods and studying gas-kinetic characteristics of coal seams are presented. It is proved that the most acceptable model of the state of methane in coal is the idea of the existence of solid ca...
THE INFLUENCE OF GEOMECHANICAL PROCESSES ON THE GAS-KINETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORKED-OUT SPACE
To ensure gas safety in mines, it is necessary to assess the applied technologies for coal and methane extraction based on modern concepts of nature, the conditions for the emergence and development of dynamic gas manife...
PECULIARITY OF COAL SEAM GAS PERMEABILITY INCREASE
The problems of methane extracting from high gas content coal seams are reviewed. Some scienti c and technical peculiarities of coal seam permeability increase in order to improve gas pre- drainage ef ciency are demonstr...
MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF THE ANGLE EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION SHOCK LOAD WHILE DRILLING ROCK ON THE EFFICIENCY OF CHIPPING FORMATION
The article substantiates the possibility of improving the efficiency of short-hole drilling by determining the most effective angle of application of the shock load during impact-rotation drilling. Investigated the stre...
FORMATION OF METHANE HYDRATES IN NATURAL CARBON
The results of experimental studies of the formation of methane gas hydrates in the interior of natural coal are presented. In gas hydrates, molecules of hydrophobic gases are built in the cavity of the crystal lattice c...
