ANALYSIS OF INFLUENCE OF INTERNAL CONVERTERS NONLINEARITY ON INTELLIGENT CYCLIC ADC PERFORMANCE
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2005, Vol 12, Issue 4
Abstract
The task of the paper is the presentation of a modelling approach to quantitative analysis of the influence of internal converter nonlinearities on the performance of sub-optimal intelligent cyclic A/D converters (IC ADCs) developed and analysed in works [1-5] and others. The results of investigations permit to determine requirements to the analogue elements of IC ADC architecture, first of all to an internal low-bit A/D converter (ADCIn), which is the most crucial for the design and practical implementation of IC ADC.

REVISING THE SI: THE JOULE TO REPLACE THE KELVIN AS A BASE UNIT
The joule is proposed to replace the kelvin in the set of SI base units. Arguments in favour of such replacement are presented, including improved standard accuracy and unit system coherence. The joule is also proposed t...
FREQUENCY-RESPONSE COMPENSATION OF DISTORTING PARTS OF MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
In this article a class of digital correction filters is presented. This class of filters has been synthesized in an optimization procedure where two criteria are considered. The first criterion is an approximation of th...
INTRODUCTION TO THE T AND CHI-SQUARE DISTRIBUTION FOR A MORE ACCURATE EVALUATION OF THE MEASURE OF THE WORD ERROR RATE IN ANALOGTO-DIGITAL CONVERTERS<br />
The word error rate (WER) in an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) is the probability of receiving an erroneous code for an input, after correction is made for gain, offset, and nonlinearity errors, and a specified allowa...
MEASUREMENT OF LUMINESCENCE IN COLOURED PRINTED MATERIALS
While fluorescent pigments have been used for many years, the formulation and quality control of coloured printed materials containing them, has been a challenge, primarily due to lack of appropriate instrumentation at a...
PHOTONICS SOCIETY OF POLAND ESTABLISHED
There is a clear need in this country for strong consolidation and rebuilding of the self-organization of the technical professional communities. They have to accommodate themselves to the dynamic changes and evolutions...
