Analysis of the Ernest Hemingway‘s Old Man and the Sea by from the Cognitive Recognition Meichenbaum

Abstract
Introduction: Individual sayings, or self-stories, in the same way as others say, affect the behavior of the individual and can guide the behavior and thoughts of man. Purpose: In researches that have been carried out so far based on the theory of Meichenbaum, considering the importance and applicability of this theory, it has not been specifically addressed to the effect of the internal dialogue and its results. Therefore, the research attempts to make the story of "old man and sea" Based on this theory, Ernest Hemingway's work is regarded as a practical example. Method: This research is a descriptive-analytic study that collected data on a library method. Findings: An analysis of this work, while being in line with the rehabilitation approach, has shown that internal dialogue in different situations, with respect to positive or negative content, can lead a person to a success or failure. It can also be used as a model for psychological approaches based on rehabilitation techniques. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that when a person is self-confident, he allows himself to succeed and chance, and orders his subconscious mind to provide all the resources for success. But when the inner conversation is negative, he leaves everything and does not spare all the chances even for the success of the exam, because he has ordered his subconscious mind that even the chances In order to achieve a possible success, then self-reflection can actually direct human behavior and thoughts, and each person, through repetition and practice, can control and guide them through familiarity with his own beliefs.
