ANALYSIS OF THE PRESENT LINGUISTIC SITUATION AMONG MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS OF ARMENIA BASED ON SURVEY INQUIRY

Abstract
Traditionally Armenia has always been a monoethnic country and that’s why, a monolingual country with the Armenian as its national language, though the Russian was the language of international communication within the former Soviet Union. For the last 20 years the situation has abruptly changed. With the aim to clear up these changes a survey concerning the use of any foreign language in professional sphere has been carried out. The results have also demonstrated deep integration of English vocabulary into professional speech of the survey participants. Taking into account the present demands, certain changes have been carried out in the development of academic program for training medical professionals.
