Англія, Франція та Іспанія як конкуренти в Новому Світі (на матеріалі роману Бет Вайт “Креольська принцеса”

Abstract
В статі на матеріалі роману американської письменниці Бет Вайт “Креольська принцеса” аналізується боротьба монархів Іспанії, Британії та Франції за нові землі американського континенту. Проаналізовано стиль авторки, за допомогою якого вона передає як історичні події, так і почуття та хвилювання героїв, що мають місце на фоні важливого періоду станов- лення Штатів як незалежної держави. Робиться акцент на іменах американських героїв, які задля достовірності згадуються письменницею, також підкреслюються настрій суспільства та роль Декларації незалежності, які стали передумовами приско- рення становлення Незалежності США.
