АНГЛОМОВНА ЛЕКСИЧНА КОМПЕТЕНТНІСТЬ МАЙБУТНІХ ВИХОВАТЕЛІВ

Abstract
A problem of studies of foreign lexics is in the spotlight of Ukrainian and foreign scientists. The article shows the analyses of this problem by the researchers of different spheres. Purpose. The article deals with the formation of prospective nursery teachers English lexical competence. Methods. Reviewing the studies on methodological problems of teaching lexics at school and higher institutions abroad and in Ukraine. The components of English lexical competence: skills, knowledge, lexical awareness are considered. Results. For teaching English to the prospective nursery teachers they need to have their own desire to learn English, to manage the system of lexical units, to expand their knowledge with lexical units, to be motivated, to have an English-speaking environment, to expand the knowledge of the basic strategies of working with lexical units,to have socio-cultural background knowledge, revise the new lexical units and work on a linguistic guess systematically. The article defines a group of exercises to create an appropriate exercise system for teaching English lexiсs. Creating a system of exercises for the formation of prospective nursery teachers English lexical competence, it is necessary to take into account the components of English lexical competence: the interaction of relevant skills, knowledge and lexical awareness. Conclusion. To sum up, it has been determined that the appropriate system of exercises should include exercises for the receptive lexical skills acquisition. These exercises should be aimed at grouping lexical units on a certain attribute; determining the meaning of the given words by word-building elements; understanding the meaning of the words from the context; making words with an opposite meaning; mastering receptive-reproductive lexical skills by listening to the text and writing down the words according to a certain situation etc.
