Abstract

Medicinal plants play a major role in all the traditional system of medicine and contain the rich source of natural products. Most of which have been used for human welfare especially to cure disease caused by pathogenic microorganisms without any side effects. The antimicrobial effect of hydroalcolic extract of M. vulgare four pathogenic bacteria namely, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Shigella shinga,Bacillus cereus,Staphylococcus aureus weredetermined using broth microdiluation method. In total, M. vulgare was a potent antimicrobial activity respectively against gram-positiveand gram-negative bacteria.
