APLICACIÓN DE TUTORÍAS ACADÉMICAS EN LA EDUCACIÓN GENERAL BÁSICA SUPERIOR DEL INSTITUTO NACIONAL MEJÍA

This study presents an investigation about the development of academic tutorials, with the participation of students who attend the General Basic Education in the Mejía National Institute. The application of tutorials is analyzed, in the different subjects of the curriculum, based on institutional planning. The following variables were considered: gender, teachers who level knowledge of their subject, students who receive academic support from their parents, students who apply group strategies, parents who invest in private classes, teachers who were visited by parents; the research was conducted during the 2017-2018 school year. It had the participation of 236 students, 50% male and 50% female. The information was collected through surveys and processed with the chi-square statistic, obtaining the following results: 23.6% of teachers level knowledge of their subject, 19.5% of students receive academic support from their parents, 21.7% of students apply group strategies, 10.6% of parents invest in private classes and 24.6% of teachers were visited by parents. Which allowed concluding that it is necessary to raise the quality and participation, respectively, of the actors of the educational community in terms of the variables studied.
