Application of argan oil in cosmetology

Abstract
Argan oil is extracted from seeds of the argan tree. Argan oil contains large amounts of tocopherols, polyphenols, sterols and fatty acids. It is used in cosmetic and food industry, traditional medicine and modern medicine. Argan oil has moisturizing, firming, anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory effects. It nourishes, tones and regenerates the skin, and soothes irritations. Studies confirm the effect of argan oil among other the reduction of sebum secretion, lowering cholesterol, and blood pressure reduction. Argan oil has beneficial effect on immune system, reveals antioxidant and antidiabetic activity.
