APPLICATION OF THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD OF THE 3DS MAX MODELS

Abstract

The analysis of the areas of numerical methods application for modeling deformations of mesh three-dimensional structures, such as the physical experiment “in silico”, calculations in the field of engineering sciences and computer visualization of dynamic processes was done. As a result of the analysis, it is determined that the basis for development a modeling methodology is to determine the optimal relationship between the accuracy of the model and the resource intensity of the algorithms. It is shown that the modeling of deformations can occur in real time mode while imposing limitations on the computational resource of the hardware platform of the software, at the same time, it should provide sufficient accuracy of the calculations. The possibility of implementing this algorithm in the environment of “Autodesk 3ds Max” and a package of applied programs for numerical analysis is shown. It is noted that the difference in the implementation of the linear and nonlinear method increases with the growth of the nodal force, and the function of the nonlinear finite element method approaches the quadratic one. The convergence of the tangent method for the nonlinear finite element method is also demonstrated.
