Application of X-ray diffraction for studies on microbially induced metal corrosion
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2015, Vol 69, Issue 8
Abstract
The paper presents the current state of knowledge on X-ray diffraction (XRD) in terms of the use of this technique to study the corrosion induced by micro-organisms. It was concluded that the indication – on the basis of XRD – groups of micro-organisms involved in the MIC does not prove the participation of specific micro- organisms in corrosion. These suggestions should be confirmed by microbiological methods and/or methods of molecular biology.

Coal Gasification using clean coal technology
The paper presents the gasification process as the foundation of new „clean” coal technologies. The current situation on global coal market was assessed and the technological and environmental aspects of the gasification...
Nature inspired dyes for the sensitization of titanium dioxide photocatalyst
Three polymethine dyes with indoline end groups were studied. Based on electrochemical and spectroscopic data it was shown that their LUMO energy is higher in energy than the conductance band edge of anatase TiO2 and hen...
Ocena sieciowania resztkowego wywołanego efektem samorozgrzania we włóknistych kompozytach epoksydowych z wykorzystaniem spektroskopii Ramana
Mechaniczne obciążenia cykliczne struktur polimerowych wywołuje procesy dyssypacji energii mechanicznej, które prowadzą do powstania efektu samorozgrzania, tj. lokalnego wzrostu temperatury, odpowiadającemu gradientow...
Bioethanol as a component of biofuels for use in diesel engines
The possibility of application of the blends of bioethanol with diesel fuel to diesel engines was described. Properties directly related to engine parameters and those characterizing fuel quality were evaluated. The stor...
Oxychlorination of organic compounds
In this paper oxychlorination processes were reviewed. We paid special attention to the environmental and ecological aspects of these transformations. Mechanisms of aniline and tert-buthyl ethers oxychlorination were als...
