Abstract
The Wetland of Chott Chergui (area of Ain Skhouna), located on the high steppe plains south of Oran, 70 km south of the town of Saida a specific and rich system by water birds and vegetation, where the protection of environment is more than necessary. The aim of this paper is testing the function of a geographic information system for the protection of a wetland classified by the Ramsar convention. The integration of multi-sources data in a geographic information system (GIS) enables this wetland management.
