EFFET DE LA DESINFECTION PAR LE CHLORE SUR LA POLLUTION DES EAUX DE SURFACE DE LA REGION DE BISKRA

Abstract
This work aims to contribute to the knowledge of the impact of organic and inorganic pollution of water from two dams in the region of Biskra (Foum ElGherza and Fontaine des Gazelles) on the chemical reactivity of chlorine. It is also to test the performance of the oxidant chlorine as a disinfectant on the inactivation of micro-organisms. According to our results compared with WHO standards, the physico-chemical and bacteriological characteristics suggest that organic and bacteriological pollution is increasingly important because of the lack of protection of these waters. The effect of chlorination on the water quality tested show both that chlorine applications are substantial and represent over 90% of chlorine introduced. On the other hand, the chlorine can disinfect the water, make good bacteriological quality and provide a disinfectant in the water to guard against the occasional contamination.
