Architecture of the RFID systems used in production systems
Journal Title: Proceedings in Manufacturing Systems - Year 2017, Vol 12, Issue 4
Abstract
This paper presents a case study which points out the way the radio frequency identification RFID systems are integrated into automated production flows from an information flow viewpoint. For the experimental research, we used an RFID system with a reader, a programmable logical controller for storing the data in a common database and a computer numerical control machine. Thus, two objectives were pursued: the presentation of the main types of architectures specific to radio frequency identification systems in terms of their performances and the way of storing the information specific to the processings performed by a computer numerical control machine for the workpieces or the workpieces to be processed. This was possible by attaching an RFID tag to each palette on which a workpiece to be processed was positioned. By means of the RFID system, we could identify the information on the processings to be performed or we could write information about the processings performed for each workpiece. In implementing and operating the radio frequency identification system, the positioning of RFID readers in relation to the tag palettes on the structure of the tool machine was taken into account to avoid potential interference

TOWARDS PRODUCTION OF MICROFEATURES ON A CUSTOM-MADE STEREOLITOGRAPHIC DLP PRINTER
Stereolithographic digital light processing (DLP) printing is a liquid-based additive manufacturing process, where 3D parts are made by curing a photosensitive polymer kept in vat. In this paper, the in-house DLP printer...
Effects of laser cladding parameters on microstructure properties and surface roughness of graded material
This paper shows the general properties of laser cladding that have recently added new possibilities for the local surface repairing of metal mechanical elements. Despite the fact that the technology for laser cladding i...
Optimization of geometric parameters of hard metal micro drils to increase tool life and performance of drilling package of printed circuit boards
In the presented work, there are investigated the changes of power characteristics of deep drilling package of printed circuit board’s hard-alloy micro drills depending on the drilling depth, cutting data and geometry of...
Integration of virtual robots with physical robots based on wireless communications
In this paper, we propose the idea of integration of virtual robots prototypes with physical robots, based on wireless communications. The goal of this paper is to discuss how the virtual prototyping can be effectively...
Dynamic simulation of industrial robots behaviour using integrated software procedures
The paper presents a research regarding the dynamic behavior of an industrial robot during operation. The main target of the attempt was to primarily test a set of software applications in a combination used in the autom...
