Areas of Inspiration and Reason Based on Morality by Mutazila

Abstract

The issue of morality is not handled as an independent title in the books of kalam. Mutazila, however, who has a serious literary work in the context of the word, is overly disputing the basic terms of morality. In particular, evaluations are made in the context of issues such as human actions, husn-qubh (good-evil), fate and justice. What is the relationship between faith and morality? Does faith absolutely take the owner to good? Does the presence of faith mandate morality? Similar questions like these come to the agenda. Based on these questions, two approaches are generally encountered. The first one gives priority to transmission, while the other launches wisdom. The second approach, which gives priority to the wisdom is used by Mutazila. Mutazila, however, has an area where it can be seen as a source of mental moral values, as well as a field of poaching / relish. Mutazila states that the role of the revelation based on morality is complementary to what is known in the past and that there is a way of confirming them and encouraging them to convey the social life. In this study, we will try to extensively consider how Mutazila tried to determine the areas of revelation and wisdom while grounding morality.
