Arithmetic Operations on Heptagonal Fuzzy Numbers
Journal Title: Asian Research Journal of Mathematics - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 5
Abstract
In this paper we have introduced Heptagonal fuzzy numbers (HpFNs) which deals with the membership function for the set of seven numbers. Arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of two HpFNs based on cuts method, Zadeh’s extension principle method and Co-ordinate method are discussed in detail. Membership functions are obtained for each method. Suitable examples and graphical illustrations are discussed for each method.

On Non-existence of Global Weak-predictable-random-field Solutions to a Class of SHEs
The multiplicative non-linearity term is usually assumed to be globally Lipschitz in most results on SPDEs. This work proves that the solutions fail to exist if the non-linearity term grows faster than linear growth. The...

Students’ Perception and Its Impact on Ghanaian Students’ Interest in Mathematics: Multivariate Statistical Analytical Approach
The study aims at addressing the effect of students’ perception and its impact on student interest in Mathematics using multivariate statistical techniques. One Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty Three (1263) students were d...
Limit and Continuity Revisited via Convergence
We derive some of the standard results on limits of elementary functions dened on subsets of real-line, whose rigorous proofs are often avoided in the routine teaching and learning of calculus. For proofs, we essentiall...
Simulation of Project Completion Time with Burr XII Activity Distribution
Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) in conjunction with Monte Carlo simulation is no doubt a useful and an acceptable tool for the analysis of project networks. However, a common challenge in practice is the...
