Abstract
La moda contemporánea procura reinventarse en la vestimenta y en el uso de adornos, desde la Edad de los Metales. Durante este período se obtuvo un gran avance en la técnica utilizada en metales como el cobre, bronce, oro, plata, hierro y en el estilo artístico de las joyas creadas. Este estudio muestra la riqueza de detalles y ensayos artísticos en la fabricación de los adornos creados para confeccionar la indumentaria desde la época más lejana de la Edad de los Metales, lo que se puede observar en los alfi leres de metal usados para unir las prendas. El mismo gusto se extendía a todos utilitarios creados con arte y técnica, dejando a la contemporaneidad muchos de esos quehaceres que acompañaron la moda en diferentes épocas, estilos y culturas. Este trabajo relata la importancia y la fascinación que los metales ejercían sobre el hombre, y que todavía inspiran la creación y el uso de las joyas de nuestros días.
