Aspects of the description and analysis of novel by Mikhail Lermontov A Hero of Our Time in the context of contemporary trends in the development of literature and literary criticism

Abstract
Modern aspects of the study of creativity Mikhail Lermontov are determined by the trends in the development of the modern literary process. The process of globalization is reflected in literature and art, causing the need for a new reading of the classics. Mythopoetic decoding and comparative–historical analysis of the novel by Mikhail Lermontov are in line with the development of modern literary criticism. In the article, these methods of analyzing the novel A Hero of Our Time are described as complementary and interdependent.
