ASPECTS REGARDING THE BEHAVIOR OF THE SATUREJA HORTENSIS L. SPECIES TO THE ULTRASOUND TREATMENT

Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study referring to the Satureja hortensis L. behavior to the ultrasound treatment during the process of plant growth .The results obtained emphasize values specifice of the analyzed indicators (the water /dry substance content and the cellular juice concentration from stems and leaves; plant length, the content of assimilatory pigments) according to the experimental conditions. At the end of the experiment we constate: a high degree of hydration of the tissues from leaves and stems in all experimental variants with higher values in variants treated with low frequency ultrasound; compared with the control, the average length of the plants is higher in the variants treated with low frequency ultrasound and the content of the assimilatory pigments is higher at all treatment variants.
