Aspects Regarding the Biocorrosion of the Paper Manufactured Machines
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2005, Vol 28, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents the main microorganisms causing biocorrosion, the concentration, their effects and a series of measures for their reduction. The conclusion is that the sulpho-reducing bacterius are responsible for the majority of defects that take place in the paper industry.

Surface Hardening by Nitration for Some Stainless Austenite Steel Types
Stainless austenite steel types have a good resistance to corrosion in different natural, industrial environments but their hardness and mechanical resistance are low enough. In order to assure an increased resistance to...
Improving Biocompatibility of Co-Cr Alloy Used in Dentistry by Surface Modification with Electrochemical Methods – Corrosion of Untreated Co-Cr Alloy in Solution with Different pH
The use of metals and alloys in dentistry has seen remarkable progress due to the deep research on their biocompatibility or the application of advanced technologies to improve surface properties by controlling material/...
Obtaining and Characterisation of Thermoresistive Pigments
The paper describes the obtaining and chemical and physico-structural characterisation of a green thermoresistive pigment. The pigment is made of ZnO dopped with Sb, Bi, Cr, Co and Fe oxides and it is used at mosaics and...
Comparison of the Efficiency of Three Types of Solar Collectors
Solar energy is one of the most abundant resources energy available in the world. Solar collectors have evolved in the last decades, but still they haven’t reached very high efficiencies. The collector efficiency is depe...
Characterization of Sintered Hardmetals Coated with TiC
This paper presents the realization of TiC thin films by CVD method. The thin layers of TiC thicknesses were 8 and 10μm, their thickness increasing with time, keeping the temperature. Diffractometer analysis certifies th...
