ASSESSMENT OF MOTIVATIONAL POTENTIAL OF ENTERPRISE EMPLOYEES

Abstract
The aim of the study is to develop a methodical approach to assessing the motivation potential of employees of an enterprise and to substantiate the directions of its increasing on the basis of the matrix method, grounding on the obtained level of its components. The methods of logical and comparative analysis, generalization and grouping, pair comparison and matrix method have been used in the work. It allowed determining key parameters of assessing the motivation potential of employees of an enterprise and offering some possible directions for its increase. The methodical approach to assessment of motivation potential of the employees by its main components (job satisfaction and motivation strength), with further choice of methods of in-fluence, based on value orientation of employees is proposed as the main result of the work. The indicators of estimating job satisfaction of each employee and the staff as a whole are assumed to be: complexity, systemacy, importance, autonomy and integrity of work. The indicators of strength of motivation and value orientation are determined in points according to the results of the survey by questionnaire. In this case, the strength of motivation is characterized in the range from weak to strong one; leading types of value orientation (value, pragmatic and neutral) are distinguished, they are characterized separately for each category of workers, which allows judging the effective-ness of one or another type of incentive for a certain group of workers and constructing a system of motivation in accordance with the requirements of staff. The matrix of diagnostics is constructed on the basis of assessed components of the motivational potential and employee gradation is made on its level, directions of improving the system of labour activity motivation are developed and substantiated as well. It has been concluded that research of the motivation potential of employees will reveal dissatisfied at work requirements, the degree of the realization of demands that a person makes to job, the differences in the interests of employer and employee, which must be overcome to create conditions for the effective realization of the motivation potential. The results of the work can be used as recommendations for assessing and analyzing various characteristics of the employees’ motivation potential, substantiating the proposals for the formation of an effective system of personnel work motivation in the organization.
