ASSESSMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCE RISKS IN THE SYSTEM OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of revealing the essence of human resource risks in the system of human resources management (HRM) of the enterprise and their assessment. Human resource risks are considered as the probability of occurrence of negative or positive material and non-material results of the functioning of an organization due to activity or inactivity of its employees, which is determined by a combination of both internal and external factors. The choice of effective methods for assessing human resource risks allows the enterprise to identify the most significant among them, to establish the likelihood of making losses and their possible amount. The proposed scale for assessing the integral level of human resource risks, based on the Harrington scale, al-lows to assess the impact of human resource risks, the likelihood of their display depending on the stage of human resources management: personnel recruitment and selection, adaptation, training and development, motivation, assessment, control and personnel dismissal. As each stage of human resources management generates certain risks and definite tools for reducing the possible negative impact are needed, a list of possible human resource risks in the system of the enterprise’s HRM is developed, which is not exhaustive and can be supplemented taking into account the specifics of the enterprise’s branch affiliation, stages of its life cycle, etc. The proposed methodological approach to assessment of human resource risks in the system of the enterprise management is one of the stages in the system of human resources management and allows to trace the change of the integral level of human resource risks of the HRM system in the directions of the impact of particu-lar threats; to compare enterprises according to the integral level of human resource risks in the system of HRM; to develop recommendations aimed at reducing the human resource risks in the enterprise’s HRM. An example of using the methodology for assessing human resource risks in the system of HRM is given on the materials of Preis Ltd., Kharkiv.
