ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF DRILLING WASTE ON HYDROBIONTS

Abstract
The acute and chronic effects of drilling mortar and drilling slime on the planktonic and benthic organisms are studied. The results of biotesting of samples of drilling wastes showed their toxic effect on planktonic and benthic organisms. However, this effect has its power at rather high concentrations, which are possible only in the zone of direct influence of massive discharges of drilling wastes.
