Association Rules as a Decision Making Model in the Textile Industry
Journal Title: Fibres and Textiles in Eastern Europe - Year 2017, Vol 25, Issue 4
Abstract
Sales process disfunctions in the textile industry are problems that cause loss of customers, incomplete market supply, etc. The objective of the research is to analyse transactions from the textile industry database in order to find patterns in buyers’ behavior and improve the model of decision-making. Association rules, one of the most noticeable data mining techniques, is used as methodology to learn rules and market patterns that occur in sales in the textile industry, which will enhance the decision-making process, by making it more effective and efficient. The Apriori algorithm was applied and open source software Orange was used. It has been shown using a real-life dataset containing 2000 transactions from the textile industry of the South East Europe region that the approach proposed is useful in discovering effective knowledge in data associated with sales. The study reports new interesting rules and the dependence of the following parameters: Support, Confidence, Lift and Leverage on making more customized offers in the textile industry.

Hybrydowe, kompozytowe układy balistyczne z zaawansowaną ceramiką i włóknami UHMWPE
Celem badań było opracowanie nowej koncepcji hybrydowych, kompozytowych układów balistycznych na bazie ceramiki oraz kompozytów włóknistych. W zależności od wymagań ochrony balistycznej, układy balistyczne projektowano w...
Prediction of Compression Properties of Single Jersey Weft-knitted Fabric by Finite Element Analysis Based on the Hyperfoam Material Model
A 3-D finite element model based on the hyperfoam material model was developed in order to predict the compression behaviour of knitted fabrics in a large deformation state. The degree of compressibility of the fabric is...
Effects on the Stability of the Balloon Shape in the Covered Yarn Process
In the process of producing covered yarn, a single outer wrapping yarn forms a balloon when it rotates at high speed. In this work, we used a mathematical model of a balloon formed by polyamide, which is a common outer wr...
Treatment of Real Textile Wastewater by Using Potassium Ferrate(VI) and Fe(III)/H2O2. Application of Aliivibrio Fischeri and Brachionus plicatilis Tests for Toxicity Assessment
The paper presents the possibility of applying combined chemical oxidation processes using potassium ferrate(VI) (K2FeO4) and Fe(III)/H2O2 for the treatment of real wastewater from the textile industry characterised by a...
