ASYMMETRIC OLIGOPOLY BARRIERS TO MARKET ENTRY

Abstract

Based on the equilibrium models in the oligopoly markets, the barriers for firms to enter markets, where companies of leaders and followers exist, are studied. The factors that influence the establishment of optimal number of firms in the industry are determined. The theoretical assumptions are tested on the Ukrainian eggs and meat markets.
