Attitudes towards values of the human body in physical culture

Abstract
Because of the growth of interests of the researchers in attitudes in physical education, there has been presented in this work a review of Polish and foreign concepts concerning the attitudes towards the body value in the area of physical culture. In this context there have also been quoted the attitudes’ theories formulated by M. Fishbein and I. Ajzen, F. Heider, L. Festinger, J. W. Brehm, and E. L. Thorndike. Moreover, there has been exposed in the work the author’s model of a structure of the prosomatic attitude, treated in categories of the perspective goal of physical education. Further investigations in the field will give a closer answer to what degree the theses related to the attitudes in physical culture suit the reality in this area.
