Augmented Reality and Zenú Ethnicity: A Futuristic Look
Journal Title: American journal of Engineering Research - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
Museums are an inexhaustible source of knowledge of past and present cultures; thereby, they can be considered to be a source of information to strengthen the cultural identity of a region. This research aimed to make the archaeological pieces of the Zenú community visible, through the means of augmented reality with the support of a web platform to enrich the experience of the visitors of the museum. This ethnographic research was framed within qualitative and descriptive paradigms, where the sample is intentional. From software engineering it was applied the process model based on prototypes for the construction of the Web platform. On the other hand, the final work for Master’s concludes with the design of the web platform, QR codes, augmented reality, marked tags, and the evaluation of the web platform going from the validation of HTML and CSS code to the application of a metric for the integral accessibility and usability analysis.
