AUTHOR-PARTICIPANT IN MODERN UKRAINIAN MILITARY DOCUMENTARY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF A SERIES OF BOOKS «ZVIT ZA SERPEN’14», «ILOVAYSKIY SCHODENNIK», «SAVUR-MOHILA»)

Abstract
The study presents an analysis of views on the phenomenon of documentary prose, in particular, attention is focused on the main characteristics of such works. The peculiarity of such prose is the installation of authenticity, psychologism, subjectiveism, a clear assessment of the author of the events that he describes. It is noted that the main problem is the lack of specific and perfect classifications of documentary works that can be used for new documentaries. The main ground of the documentary prose is the fact about the reality and understanding of the events by the author-participant. Analyzed a series of books about the war, the authors of which were participants in events in Eastern Ukraine; the communication intentions of the narrative, the author’s position are defined Having conducted the research, we noticed that all the books contain documentary features: the facts of reality are described (events near Ilovaisk, Schastya, Savur-Mohila), the authors are witnesses of the events through their direct participation; describe a specific time period; each demonstrates his vision of events, provides a multiplicity of points of view. All books are characterized by linear narrative organization; individual memories are combined into a single whole or the author forms a story based on diary notes in chronological order. It is also indicated that each of the authors reconstructs the picture of events, which became an eyewitness in his own way, the psychological state is important at the climaxes of the narrative; separate subjective impressions form an intersubjective picture of reality.
