Automatic Protection Scheme Analysis for Fully Automatic Operation Line Section Evacuation

Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2024, Vol 27, Issue 9

Abstract

Objective There are no train crew on the train that runs on the fully automatic operation (FAO) line of urban rail transit, leading to very big safety risks in the evacuation scenario. Therefore, it is necessary to study the automatic protection scheme for section evacuation on FAO lines. Method Based on the application of automatic protection in section evacuation on FAO lines (hereinafter referred to as the automatic protection), the necessity of the automatic protection is analyzed. Three schemes for the automatic protection are proposed, and comparison analysis is conducted on the schemes. Scheme 3 is recommended. Further research is done on the automatic protection measures for section evacuation in Scheme 3. Result & Conclusion Scheme 3 additionally includes the flexible handling measures for signal system and OCC (operation control center) dispatchers, making the protection handling measures in the section evacuation more flexible and much safer.
