Avaliação dos serviços oferecidos pela biblioteca do IFRS, através da opinião dos alunos

Abstract
The research aimed to investigate the satisfaction of the students of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande – IFRS regarding the services offered by the Library of IFRS. A literature review on User Study, School Library, and University Library. As the study parameter, a questionnaire with open and closed questions was applies to students previously defined for the parameters of the study. Students belonged to the 1st year of integrated courses, freshmen of 2011. Among the key findings there are: 33 (46 %) of respondents were female and 39 (54 %) were male; 64 (89 %) of teenagers were between 14 and 16 years old and 8 (11 %) were between 17 and 18 years old, and no-one was older than 18. Regarding the attendance to the library, 11 (15%) attend it once a week, 57 (79%) two or more times per week, 3 (4%) once a month, and 1 (1 %) respondent used the option “other†to say that attends the library three or more times per week. With respect to the material they use most often in the library, 27 (38 %) students answered books; 21 (29 %) computers, and 3 (4 %) responded they attend the library for newspapers and magazines for general information; besides, 21 respondents (29 %) used the option “other†to point to the study rooms as a reason for using the library.
