AWARENESS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL DIFFERENTIATION AND FUNCTIONAL PECULIARITIES OF MEN AND WOMEN IN MENTALLY RETARDED ADOLESCENT GIRLS

Abstract
The paper is focused on studying the peculiarities of the process of gender and gender-role identity formation in men- tally retarded adolescent girls. The summative experiment, which involved organised talk and projective technique “Drawing one’s own and opposite sex”, was used to identify the level of their awareness of differential distinctions between men and women, their functional peculiarities and the impact of gender identity on social expectations and behaviour.
