Abstract
Pratkanis and Aronson have drawn attention to the fact that the media leave no room for a one-way speech, for multidirectional debate and confrontation of different points of view (Pratkanis–Aronson, 1992). New media, however, has changed this dominant trend: besides unidirectional communication – institutional or corporate, it is also stated the communication that is organized from „down” (Jenkins, 2004), which comes from the public or the users. These are less structured and controlled, and not always consistent. Social media, wiki and other digital media platforms broaden the term media. This study is based on the concept of mediatization and the analysis of the old and new media dichotomy, and presents the phenomena that structure the new media in the long run.
