AZOV-ADRIATIC MEGALINEAMENT AS TRANSREGIONAL ZONE OF CONJUGATED DEEP FAULTS OF SOUTHERN EUROPE
Journal Title: Geologia i poleznye iskopaemye mirovogo okeana - Year 2018, Vol 14, Issue 2
Abstract
From the analysis of interpreted space imagery and other geological materials we specified the location of Azov-Adriatic lineament, which is one of the largest linear geomorphological structures (fault zones) of the Southern Europe. The revealed characteristic features of the structure indicate at its ancient initiation and important role in the formation of morphogeostructures and fault ensembles at different scales of the whole southern foreland of the East European Craton.
