Bakterie probiotyczne w przewodzie pokarmowym człowieka jako czynnik stymulujący układ odpornościowy*

Abstract
Mikroflora bakteryjna układu pokarmowego człowieka uczestniczy w utrzymaniu ochrony organizmu przed antygenami i patogenami dostającymi się drogą pokarmową. Opisano wpływ mikroflory na układ odpornościowy związany z błonami śluzowymi przewodu pokarmowego (GALT), a także jej oddziaływanie na czynność wydzielniczą układu odpornościowego, w szczególności związaną z sekrecją przeciwciał, głównie klasy IgA. Przedstawiono wpływ bakterii komensalnych i probiotycznych na modulację wrodzonej odpowiedzi immunologicznej oraz jej pośredni wpływ na odpowiedź swoistą. Omówiono zaburzenia czynności układu pokarmowego związane ze zmianami składu mikroflory oraz sposoby ich zapobiegania. Podkreślono korzystny wpływ probiotyków na zdrowie człowieka, wskazując nieinwazyjne szlaki podnoszenia naturalnej odporności immunologicznej przez te drobnoustroje. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność poznania mechanizmów związanych z wywołaniem odpowiedzi odpornościowej przez probiotyki, uczestniczące w utrzymaniu organizmu w stanie gotowości do walki z patogenami.
