Bandwidth Enhancement of UWB Microstrip Antenna with a Modified Ground Plane
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
Bandwidth enhancing technique using a modified ground plane with diagonal edges, rectangular slot, and T-shape cut for the design of compact antennas.Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology has been regarded as one of the wireless technologies that provide high data rate transmission bandwidth of 7.5 GHz (3.1–10.6GHz).The planar circular disc monopole is fabricated on a 3 cm×5.1 cm×0.16 cm FR-4 board(εr=4.4, thickness=1.6mm) with a feed line and a finite ground plane. The patch acts approximately as a resonant cavity (short circuit walls on top and bottom, open-circuit walls on the sides). In a cavity, only certain modes are allowed to exist, at different resonant frequencies. If the antenna is excited at a resonant frequency, a strong field is set up inside the cavity, and a strong current on the (bottom) surface of the patch. This produces significant radiation (a good antenna).

Comparative Study of Various Types of Dampers used for Multi-Story R.C.C. Building
dampers are used to resist lateral forces coming on the structure. Dampers are the energy dissipating devices which also resist displacement of rc building during earthquake. These dampers help the structure to reduce t...
Parasite Detection Using Spatial Relationship Approach
In this paper, human hookworm detection is based on spatial relationship between consecutive WCE image was proposed, aiming to reduce the number of image a clinician need to review. This method includes four stages they...
Heat Transfer Augmentation through Different Passive Intensifier Methods (Review)
In most of the previous experimental and numerical studies empirical correlations for duct flow with straight channel has been investigated and corresponding heat transfer and pressure drop are reported, very few paper...
Reverse Engineering of Motorcycle Rear Disc Brake System
Generally motorcycles above 150cc have two discs in the rear, one is brake disc rotor and other is sprocket. In this concept one of the discs is removed and two of the vehicle function is achieved in one disc itself. Th...
Review of A New Approach for Hybrid Technology Monitoring and Logger System for Electricity
In India total electricity generation has depends upon the water. So, 60% or 70% water is used for electricity generation from dam; hence, shortage of water is take place for drinking & farming. To reduce the generation...
