BASIC APPROACHES TO REFORMING OF HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATION AS A DETERMINING PERFORMANCE OF THE HEALTH SYSTEMS

Abstract
The article reflects the main approaches to the reform of higher medical education in Ukraine as the determining factor of the health care system. It is pointed out the importance of public administration mechanisms for the restructuring of the health sector. It is noted that the reform of the health system leads to changes in the humanistic vocation of modern medicine and turns out in the personal orientation of the training of future doctors, since the main content of the humanitarization of medical education can be reduced to the task of forming a high level of human culture and professional ethics for future doctors. Emphasis is placed on the fact that sustainable development of the healthcare sector needs highly qualified medical personnel trained for the work of medical care. The concept of reform of medical education in Ukraine clearly defines the goal: the conformity of the medical education system to the requirements of the practical sphere of public health; improving the quality of training of medical personnel through the introduction of an effective system for organizing the educational process; harmonization of the national medical education with the requirements of the European Union.
