DEVELOPMENT OF FORMS, METHODS AND TOOLS OF EDUCATIONAL WORK IN BOARDING SCHOOLS IN UKRAINE (1956–1965)

Abstract
The social preconditions of the formation and development of boarding schools in Ukraine in 50–60th years of XX century as educational institutions of a new type are distinguished in the article. The peculiarities of the organization of boarding schools in the Ukrainian SSR, conditions of their functioning and the main tasks of children’s social education in these institutions are described. The methodological basis on which the social and educational work with children growing up outside the family is grounded. The peculiarities of the boarding schools’ work as a center of children’s social education are highlighted. The sociopolitical and socio-economic preconditions of the creation of new types of educational institutions, as well as organizational and methodological conditions for effective usage of pedagogical technologies and methods of educational work in them are revealed and analyzed.
