БАЗИСНІ ПОЛОЖЕННЯ ЕРГОТЕРАПІЇ ПРИ ХВОРОБІ ПАРКІНСОНА

Abstract
Introduction and purpose of the study Parkinson’s disease is one of the most common diseases of the nervous system. In Ukraine, the number of registered patients with Parkinson’s disease is 59.6 per 100,000 population. The result of neurochemical changes in the black substance, the basal nuclei of the brain in this disease is the violation of arbitrary movements, tremor, rigidity, postural instability, choking stroke, frizings syndrome, as well as a wide range of “nonmotor symptoms.” This significantly impairs the quality of life of patients, leads to a significant limitation of their livelihoods. Therefore, the definition of the main provisions of the occupational therapy of Parkinson’s disease and its implementation is an urgent task in the process of rehabilitation of patients. Taking into account that in our country the occupational therapy direction of rehabilitation is only beginning to develop, the purpose of the study is to study the experience of other countries of occupational therapy to clients with motor disorders in Parkinson’s disease and to formulate the basic provisions of occupational therapy in this disease. Material and methods: the search for the main provisions of occupational therapy in Parkinson’s disease was carried out with the key words: ergotherapy, Parkinson’s disease, «Parkinson’s disease», «diagnosis and management», «functional independence», «Occupational Therapy», «Guidelines», «client-centred practice», «conceptual elements Occupational Therapy». Results: The study generalized the conceptual provisions of occupational therapy in Parkinson’s disease, which should be used in our country in the process of rehabilitation of patients. Conclusions: 1. The basic principles of occupational therapy should include the principles of multidisciplinary approach, the active participation of clients and their family members in the program of occupational therapy, early intervention, client-oriented assessment and intervention, the development of the goals of occupational therapy in cooperation with the client or guardian and the use of a wide range of activities to increase customer participation in everyday activities. 2. Strategies for occupational therapy intervention in Parkinson’s disease are: educational, with the use of classes with clients and members of their families; developing, which is aimed at the restoration of impaired personal skills and functions required in daily activities; compensatory with the introduction of auxiliary facilities and equipment, adaptation to the environment and cognitive use of adaptive technologies to compensate for motor activity and psychological correction and customer support.
