Abstract
Intussusception is a rare entity in adults accounting for nearly 2 % cases of obstruction. The condition is more frequently encountered in pediatric population compared to adults. In small bowel most of the lead points are benign lesion whereas in large bowel percentage of malignant lead point is much more. We present a case of 43 year old lady who presented with colocolic intussusception. The patient presented with features of acute intestinal obstruction. On exploration proximal part of transverse colon was telescoping into distal one with intraluminal pedunculated fibrofatty tissue as a lead point. The present study discusses the role of colonoscopy and CECT in preoperative workup and the treatment modality of choice for management of such cases.
