BILINGUAL ENGLISH-SERBIAN DICTIONARY OF SPORTS

Abstract

This paper outlines principles of lexicographical standardization of bilingual English-Serbian dictionary of sports terminology. The issue is analyzed both from aspects of macro and microstructure of the dictionary. The part of macrostructure is divided into three sections: a. economy register segment choice, b. number of lexemes of general language fund, c. organization of lexical entries. The part of microstructure of the dictionary is also organised in three sections: a. term in native language, b. translational equivalent and c. definition of meaning.
